A Moment in Water
I sit in puzzlement today,
Old emails cleared away.
One flagged read,
But still in bold,
I paused to read.
Somehow I missed it,
Long ago.
Nigh on three years,
No one said a word.
I wonder now,
Thinking back,
That if perhaps
I had checked sooner,
My old past notes,
If things would have changed.
It will never be known,
But still,
I like to Dream,
That if these words
You left me,
I had sooner read,
Then my interpertations
Of a later thread,
Might have differed.
Suffice to say,
I didn't know.
Abadoned feeling,
I was led astray.
And "I'm Sorry" now,
Doesn't heal the past.

So, like it says, I finally cleaned out my yahoo email account. Organized everything important and found a missive I hadn't read, but was marked funny. Strange the weird things that inspire me, ne?
